Browser play and the fillable PDF are two different ways to use a book. Every book comes with a private play link, printed inside your PDF. Open that link in your phone’s browser, with no app to install. Your progress is saved on the device you play on. Keep your link so you can return to the book.
To use the PDF instead, open it in a compatible PDF app, or print the pages you need.
Hands & Hoots helps kids practise reading the American Sign Language (ASL) alphabet, also called fingerspelling. Read the illustrated hands from left to right to spell each word. An alphabet chart is at the bottom of every puzzle page, and answers are at the back. These are alphabet practice books, not a full ASL course.
Some puzzles give you the English word to translate into French or Spanish, and vice versa. A small badge, like EN → FR or ES → EN, shows which way to go.
Answers are written in capital letters, without accents. French answers leave out articles like “le” or “la”, and in Spanish, Ñ stays Ñ. Junior books also have a word bank on every puzzle.
The bilingual crossword answers show each word in both languages at the back of the book.
A QR code in each French or Spanish book opens its listening page. Tap a word to hear it aloud.
